Getting There

Walking
Start from the Upper Barracca Gardens in Valletta. From the gardens, head down the steps towards the main street (Triq Il-Merkanti) and turn left. Walk along Triq Il-Merkanti until you reach the waterfront at the Grand Harbour. Continue walking along the promenade until you see the signs for the ferry terminal. Here, take the ferry to Sliema. Once you arrive in Sliema, head towards the coast and walk along the promenade until you reach the Tigne Point area. From there, follow the signs to Manoel Island. Cross the bridge to Manoel Island, and you will soon see Fort Manoel on your left.

From Valletta, make your way to the main bus terminus located near the City Gate. Take bus number 13 or 14 heading towards Sliema. Get off at the stop called 'Tigne', which is close to the entrance of Manoel Island. From the bus stop, walk towards the coast and follow the signs to Manoel Island.
