Walking
From the Upper Barracca Gardens, head down the steps towards the Valletta Waterfront. As you descend, keep an eye out for the large sign indicating the direction to Birgu. Once you reach the waterfront, turn left and walk along the promenade. Continue walking until you reach the bridge that connects Valletta to Birgu. Cross the bridge and follow the signs leading to Fort St. Angelo, which will be on your left. The total walking distance is about 1.5 kilometers and should take approximately 20-25 minutes.
Public Transport
From the City Gate bus terminal in Valletta, take bus number 133 towards Birgu. The buses are frequent, and the ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Birgu' stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the waterfront, which is just a short 5-minute walk away. Follow the waterfront path until you see Fort St. Angelo on your left.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route and are looking for convenience, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply request a ride to 'Fort St. Angelo, Birgu.' The ride from central Valletta should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to mention 'Birgu' to the driver if they are unsure.
