If you are starting from the Upper Barracca Gardens, head towards the main entrance and exit the gardens. Once outside, follow the path down towards the main street. Turn right onto the main street (Triq Il-Merkanti) and continue walking straight. You will reach the end of the street where it meets the Grand Harbour. Keep walking along the harbour until you reach the Fort St. Elmo, which will be on your left. The entrance to the National War Museum is located at Mediterranean Street, St. Elmo Place.
