Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Lower Barracca Garden, simply head up the stairs to the Upper Barracca Garden, which is located directly above. If you are coming from the main street, Triq Sant' Orsla, walk towards the entrance of the Upper Barracca. The entrance is located at the top of the steps leading up from the Lower Barracca.

    From the National Library of Malta, exit onto Triq Sant' Anna, and head south towards the Grand Harbour. Continue walking straight until you reach the Barracca Lift. Take the lift to the Upper Barracca Gardens, which will take you directly to the gardens with stunning views of the harbour.

    If you are near St. John’s Co-Cathedral, exit and walk down Triq San Pawl, taking a right onto Triq Sant' Orsla. Continue straight until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. The gardens are located on the left side and have clear signage.

    From the Valletta Waterfront, walk towards the city center, entering Valletta through the main gate. Head straight along Republic Street until you reach the end, then turn left onto Triq Sant' Orsla. Continue until you find the entrance to the Upper Barracca Gardens on your right.
