Walking
If you are starting from St. George's Square, head towards the National Museum of Archaeology. Walk along the left side of the square until you reach the museum entrance. Continue along Republic Street, which is the main thoroughfare of Valletta. As you walk, you will see several shops and cafes. Keep walking straight until you reach the end of Republic Street, where it meets the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, turn right onto Castille Place and continue straight until you come to St. Mark Street. The Fortifications Interpretation Centre is located at VGX5+VM3, St Mark Street, Valletta. It is a short walk from the Barracca Lift if you choose to take it to descend from the Upper Barracca Gardens.

If you are near the Lower Barracca Garden, exit the garden and head towards Triq il-Lvant. Walk up this road until you reach Fort Saint Elmo. From there, follow the signs to the nearest exit towards St. Mark Street. Once you reach St. Mark Street, navigate right and you will find the Fortifications Interpretation Centre at VGX5+VM3, St Mark Street, Valletta.
Public Transport
Although Valletta is compact and best explored on foot, if you are coming from nearby towns, take a bus to the Valletta Terminus. From the bus terminus, head towards the entrance of the city at City Gate. Walk straight down Republic Street until you reach the end of the road, where you will turn right onto Castille Place. Continue straight to St. Mark Street and you will find the Fortifications Interpretation Centre at VGX5+VM3, St Mark Street, Valletta.
