Walking
From the center of Xaghra, head southeast towards the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Triq ta' Kola. Turn left onto Triq ta' Kola and follow it as it winds through the village. After about 10 minutes, you will reach a T-junction. Turn right onto Triq il-Lunzjata and continue straight. The Xatt l-Aħmar Salt Pans will be located about 15 minutes ahead on your left, right before you reach the coast.

If you are near the Ġgantija Temples, start by heading northwest on Triq Ħaġar Qim. Continue along this road until you reach the main road (Triq il-Kbira). Turn right and follow the road until you reach the intersection with Triq ta' Kola. Turn left onto Triq ta' Kola and continue straight until you encounter the T-junction. Turn right onto Triq il-Lunzjata, and after approximately 15 minutes, the Xatt l-Aħmar Salt Pans will be on your left.

From the Xaghra Parish Church, exit the church grounds and walk towards Triq il-Kbira. Turn left on Triq il-Kbira and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Triq ta' Kola. Turn right onto Triq ta' Kola and continue to the T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right onto Triq il-Lunzjata. The Xatt l-Aħmar Salt Pans will be about a 15-minute walk from here on your left side.
