Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Xewkija, head northeast on Triq Il-Knisja towards Triq Il-Liġi. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the junction with Triq Il-Wied. Turn left onto Triq Il-Wied and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. You will reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Triq Il-Gvern and continue for another 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs pointing to the Citadel. Continue straight, and you will arrive at It-Telgħa tal-Belt in Victoria, where the Citadel is located.

  • Public Transport

    From Xewkija, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the main square. Take bus number 41 or 42 towards Victoria. The journey will take about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Victoria - Cimiterju' bus stop. From there, walk uphill along Triq Il-Knisja, which will take you directly to the Citadel entrance located at It-Telgħa tal-Belt.

  • Cycling

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main square in Xewkija and head northeast on Triq Il-Knisja. Cycle straight for about 600 meters and turn left onto Triq Il-Wied. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Triq Il-Gvern and keep going straight for another 1.5 kilometers. Follow the signs to the Citadel, and it will be on your left at It-Telgħa tal-Belt in Victoria.
