From the mall, transfer to the Metrobus Route 13 towards the New Carrollton Metro Station. Ride the bus until you reach the station. Once there, board the Metro's Green Line towards Branch Avenue and transfer at Gallery Place-Chinatown to the Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the Judiciary Square Metro Station. From there, it's a short walk to Ford's Theatre located at 511 10th St NW, Washington, DC 20004.
