Getting There
Walking
If you are starting from the Annapolis City Dock, head north on Dock Street. After a short walk, turn left onto Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Church Circle. At Church Circle, take the second exit onto West Street. Follow West Street until it meets the intersection with State Circle. Continue straight onto State Circle and then proceed onto Route 50 (also known as the John Hanson Highway). Walk towards the Eastport area and catch a bus at the Eastport Shopping Center that heads towards Washington, DC. Get off at the nearest Metro station, such as the New Carrollton Metro Station, and then take the Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Transfer to the Yellow Line at Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station towards Huntington. Finally, get off at the National Mall station and walk towards 15th St NW, where you will find the National Christmas Tree.
Public Transit
From the Annapolis Transit Center, take the bus route that heads towards the New Carrollton Metro Station. Once you arrive at New Carrollton, purchase a Metro pass and take the Green Line towards Branch Avenue. At the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station, transfer to the Yellow Line towards Huntington. Get off at the National Mall station and follow the signs leading to 15th St NW, where you will find the National Christmas Tree conveniently located at the intersection of 15th St NW and E St NW.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Annapolis. Start from the City Dock and head north on Dock Street, then turn left onto Main Street. Continue to follow the route until you reach West Street. From there, navigate towards Route 50 and bike along the designated bike paths leading to Eastport. Once you reach Eastport, find a bike-friendly route that leads to the nearest Metro station, such as the New Carrollton Metro Station. After locking up your bike, take the Metro as described above to reach the National Mall, where you can easily walk to the National Christmas Tree at 15th St NW and E St NW.
