Walking
If you are in downtown Annapolis, start at the Maryland State House located at 100 State Circle, Annapolis, MD 21401. From there, head southwest on State Circle toward Maryland Ave, and turn left onto Maryland Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with West St. Turn right onto West St and walk for about 0.6 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Main St, continue straight until you reach the water. From there, you can catch a water taxi to the Washington, DC area, which is the best way to make your way to the Petersen House.

Public Transport
From downtown Annapolis, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Annapolis Transit Route 99 bus towards the New Carrollton Metro Station. This will take you directly to the Metro. Once you arrive at the New Carrollton Metro Station, transfer to the Orange Line toward Vienna/Fairfax-GMU. Ride the train until you reach the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. From L'Enfant Plaza, transfer to the Yellow Line toward Greenbelt and ride until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. From there, exit the station and walk about 0.5 miles to 516 10th St NW, Washington, DC 20004, where the Petersen House is located.
