If you are in downtown Annapolis, start by heading north on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with West Street. Turn left onto West Street and walk until you reach the Maryland State House. From the State House, head north on State Circle and continue onto Francis Street. Follow Francis Street until it turns into Church Circle. Continue straight on Church Circle and take the exit onto West Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Taylor Avenue. At the intersection, catch the MetroBus 22 towards Washington, DC. Stay on the bus for about 35 minutes, and then get off at the stop 'Connecticut Ave NW & Knowlton Dr NW'. From there, walk southeast along Connecticut Avenue until you reach the Smithsonian National Zoological Park at 3001 Connecticut Ave NW.

From the Annapolis Transit Center, board the Annapolis Circulator Bus (Blue Line) and ride it to the last stop at the Maryland State House. From there, transfer to the MetroBus 22 towards Washington, DC. Sit on the bus for approximately 35 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Connecticut Ave NW & Knowlton Dr NW', disembark and walk southeast on Connecticut Avenue until you arrive at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park located at 3001 Connecticut Ave NW.
