You can park at various parking lots along the canal, but the closest parking for Lock 2 is at the intersection of Canal Road NW and Reservoir Road NW. Once parked, head towards the towpath and walk along the canal for about 0.3 miles to reach Lock 2.

To reach Lock 2 via public transit, take the Metro to the Foggy Bottom-GWU station (Blue, Orange, or Silver lines). From there, you can catch the DC Circulator bus (the 'National Mall' route) toward the Georgetown area. Get off at the stop near the intersection of M Street NW and Wisconsin Avenue NW. From this point, walk about 0.5 miles down Wisconsin Avenue NW to reach the C&O Canal Towpath. Once on the towpath, walk south for approximately 0.3 miles to arrive at Lock 2.
