Metro
To reach Georgetown from Bethesda, start by walking to the Bethesda Metro Station located at 7400 Wisconsin Ave. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Get off at the Dupont Circle station (about a 10-minute ride). Exit the station and head to the south exit on 19th Street NW. From there, you can either catch a bus or walk to Georgetown. If you choose to walk, head west along M Street NW for about 1 mile until you reach the heart of Georgetown.
Bus
If you prefer taking the bus, you can catch the Ride On Bus Route 34 or 36 from the Bethesda area. Board at any bus stop along Wisconsin Avenue, heading towards Friendship Heights. After a short ride, transfer to the DC Circulator at the Friendship Heights Metro Station. Take the Georgetown-Union Station route, which will take you directly to the heart of Georgetown. Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk from Bethesda to Georgetown. Start at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Bethesda Avenue. Head south on Wisconsin Avenue for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with M Street NW. Turn left onto M Street NW, and continue walking until you arrive in Georgetown. This walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes, but you'll enjoy the scenery along the way.
