After about a 20-minute ride, get off at the Farragut North Station. Exit the station and walk north on 17th St NW towards New York Ave NW. The Octagon Museum is located at 1799 New York Ave NW, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station.

Locate the nearest bus stop in Bethesda. You can use the Ride On bus service. Take the Ride On Route 34 towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. Get off at the stop at 16th St NW and K St NW. From there, walk east on K St NW until you reach 17th St NW, then turn left and walk north. Continue walking until you reach New York Ave NW, then turn right. The Octagon Museum is at 1799 New York Ave NW, just a short walk from there.

If you are near downtown Bethesda, you can simply walk to the Octagon Museum. Start at the corner of Wisconsin Ave and Old Georgetown Rd. Walk east on Old Georgetown Rd until you reach the intersection with Montgomery Ave. Continue straight to connect with 16th St NW, then head south until you reach New York Ave NW. Turn left onto New York Ave NW, and the Octagon Museum will be on your right at 1799 New York Ave NW.
