From any location in Waldorf, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Bus Route 1 or 2 towards Washington, DC. The bus will take you to the Branch Avenue Metro Station. Once at the Branch Avenue Metro Station, board the Green Line train towards Greenbelt. Ride the train for about 11 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Transfer to the Red Line towards Glenmont and ride for 3 stops until you reach the Farragut North station. From the Farragut North station, exit and walk west on K Street NW for about 5 minutes, then turn left onto New York Ave NW. The Octagon Museum will be on your right at 1799 New York Ave NW.

To reach the Octagon Museum using the Metro, find your way to the nearest Metro station in Waldorf, which is the Branch Avenue Metro Station. Board the Green Line train towards Greenbelt. After exiting the station, walk west on K Street NW for 5 minutes, then turn left onto New York Ave NW. The Octagon Museum will be located at 1799 New York Ave NW on your right.
