Metro
From any location in Bethesda, head to the Bethesda Metro Station. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt or the Green Line towards Branch Avenue. Get off at the next stop, L'Enfant Plaza. Once you exit the station, walk northwest towards Pennsylvania Avenue NW for about 10 minutes until you reach the Old Post Office Pavilion at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Locate a bus stop near your current location in Bethesda. Take the Ride On Bus #46 towards Rockville via FDA/White Flint. Ride for about 25 minutes to the Rockville Metro Station. Continue walking until you reach Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right and head south until you reach the Bethesda Metro Station. From there, follow the Metro directions above, or you can continue walking down Wisconsin Avenue. Walk about 1.5 miles south until you reach the National Mall area. Continue towards Pennsylvania Avenue NW, and you will find the Old Post Office Pavilion.
