If you are driving, start from the Visitor Center of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge located at 2145 Key Wallace Drive, Cambridge, MD. Head southeast on Key Wallace Drive towards MD-16 E. Turn right onto MD-16 E and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left onto Phillips Gunning Club Rd, which is well-marked for the Bishop's Head Point Division. Follow Phillips Gunning Club Rd for approximately 2.5 miles. The entrance to Bishop's Head Point Division will be on your left. Parking is available on-site.

Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. The nearest public transit is the Dorchester Transit (DTS), which can take you to Cambridge, MD. From Cambridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Once you arrive at the refuge, follow the driving directions provided above to reach Bishop's Head Point Division, as public transit does not service this specific area.

For those who enjoy biking, you can start from the Visitor Center. Follow the same route as the driving directions. MD-16 E has a shoulder suitable for cycling, but be cautious as it may have traffic. Biking to Bishop's Head Point Division will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your speed. Walking to Bishop's Head Point Division from the Visitor Center is not recommended due to the distance and lack of pedestrian pathways.
