Getting There

Walking
Start from the Columbia Town Center. Head southwest on Little Patuxent Parkway toward the intersection with the US-29 S (Columbia Pike). Cross over to the west side of the parkway and take the bus stop at 'Columbia Mall'. From there, take the Howard County Transit Bus 404 towards Elkridge. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the 'Elkridge Park' stop. Once you disembark, walk north along the park access road until you reach the entrance to the Patapsco Valley State Park. Continue on the main trail for about 1 mile until you reach Cascade Falls.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Columbia Waterfront Park. Head south along the multi-use path that runs parallel to the river. Follow the path for about 3 miles until you reach the Patapsco Valley State Park entrance. Once you enter the park, take the trail towards Cascade Falls, which is well marked. The ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.
