Car
From Cunningham Falls State Park, head south on Catoctin Hollow Road (Route 77) for approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Route 15 South. Continue for about 6 miles and take the exit for Route 40 West. Merge onto Route 40 and drive for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Gambrill Park Road. Follow Gambrill Park Road for about 2 miles until you reach Gambrill State Park, located at 8602 Gambrill Park Rd, Frederick, MD 21702. There is no entrance fee for Gambrill State Park.
Public Transportation
From Cunningham Falls State Park, you will need to drive or take a taxi to the nearest public transportation hub, which is the Frederick Transit Station. From there, take the local bus (Bus Route 10) towards Frederick City. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Route 40. From that stop, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to reach Gambrill State Park via Gambrill Park Road. Be aware that this route may require planning for the bus schedule, and there may be a small fare for the bus.
