From Cunningham Falls State Park, head southeast on Catoctin Hollow Rd toward MD-77. Turn left onto MD-77 E and continue for about 17 miles. Merge onto I-95 S toward Baltimore. Continue on I-95 S for approximately 15 miles, then take exit 67A for I-695 E toward Essex. After about 5 miles, take exit 31B for MD-702 E toward Middle River. Follow MD-702 E, which becomes Graces Quarters Rd, and continue for about 3 miles until you reach Gunpowder Falls State Park Hammerman Area at 7200 Graces Quarters Rd, Middle River, MD 21220. Note that there may be parking fees at the park entrance.
