Public Bus
If you are in Rockville, start by heading to the Rockville Metro Station. Once there, take the Metro Red Line towards Glenmont. Get off at the Shady Grove Metro Station, which is the last stop on this line. From Shady Grove, transfer to the Ride On Bus Route 64 towards Olney. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Black Ankle Rd & Mt. Airy Rd'. From this bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk to Black Ankle Vineyards at 14463 Black Ankle Rd. Follow Black Ankle Rd directly to the vineyard.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental service in Rockville. Start at Rockville Town Square and head southeast on E Montgomery Ave. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with MD-355 S. Turn left onto MD-355 S and follow it until you reach the exit for MD-27 N towards Frederick. Continue on MD-27 N for approximately 15 miles. Turn right onto Black Ankle Rd, and you will find Black Ankle Vineyards about a mile down the road.

Walking
If you are close enough and prefer walking, start from the Rockville Town Center. Head west on E Montgomery Ave towards N Washington St. Turn right onto N Washington St and continue until you reach MD-355 S. From MD-355 S, head south until you reach the intersection with MD-27 N. At this point, you can take the bus or bike or continue walking up MD-27 N. It is approximately a 5-mile walk, which will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to follow the pedestrian walkways and stay safe along the busy roads.
