Turn left onto East Church Street and continue until you reach the intersection with North Market Street. Turn right onto North Market Street and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will pass several shops and cafes on your way, which makes for a pleasant stroll. Once you reach the intersection with West Patrick Street, turn left and walk for another 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with South Jefferson Street. From there, you can take a Greyhound or other bus service to Gettysburg. Note that the journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

  • Public Transportation

    Head to the Frederick Transit Center located at 100 S East St. From the Visitor Center, walk south on East Street, then turn right onto East Patrick Street. The Transit Center will be on your left after about 0.2 miles. Take the TransIT Route 60 to Gettysburg. This bus service runs daily and has a scheduled time that you can check online. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Frederick. Start at the Frederick Visitor Center, head south on East Street, and follow the bike path that leads towards the Monocacy River.
