After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the Glenmont Metro Station. Here, transfer to the Metro Red Line towards Shady Grove. Travel for about 30 minutes and get off at the National Mall station. From the National Mall, walk towards the Lincoln Memorial, then head west on Constitution Ave NW and continue walking until you reach Memorial Ave in Arlington, VA. The Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center will be on your left.

    Make your way to the nearest Metro station in Gaithersburg, which is the Shady Grove Metro Station. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes until you reach the Metro Center station. Here, transfer to the Blue Line towards Franconia-Springfield. Ride for two more stops and get off at Arlington Cemetery station. From the station, it is a short walk to the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center, located at 1 Memorial Ave.
