From Gaithersburg, head to the nearest bus stop on Washingtonian Blvd. Take the Ride On Bus #56 towards the Lakeforest Transit Center. Get off at the Lakeforest Transit Center bus stop. From there, transfer to the Greyhound bus service or a local shuttle that goes to Harpers Ferry, WV. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as services may have limited hours. Once in Harpers Ferry, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Maryland Heights, located at 171 Shoreline Drive.

Make your way to the Gaithersburg MARC Train station located at 2 Depot Ct. Take the MARC train on the Brunswick Line towards Washington, DC. Get off at the Harpers Ferry station. Once at the station, exit and walk towards the direction of the Potomac River. Follow the signs to Maryland Heights, which is about a 25-minute walk from the station.
