    If you are in downtown Hagerstown, start at the Hagerstown City Park. Head southeast on the park road towards the intersection with North Potomac Street. Turn right onto North Potomac Street and walk until you reach the intersection with East Washington Street. Turn left onto East Washington Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass various shops and restaurants along the way. At the intersection with South Burhans Boulevard, turn right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Steinwehr Avenue. Turn left onto Steinwehr Avenue, and you will find the Gettysburg Heritage Center at 297 Steinwehr Ave on your right.

    From the Hagerstown Transit bus station, take the Route 1 bus towards the Hagerstown area. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at the intersection of East Washington Street and North Potomac Street. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Gettysburg. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Gettysburg, get off at the stop closest to Steinwehr Avenue. Walk straight towards Steinwehr Avenue, and the Gettysburg Heritage Center will be located at 297 Steinwehr Ave.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Hagerstown. Start at the Hagerstown City Park and head southeast on the park road.
