Car
From Janes Island State Park, exit the park and head northwest on Janes Island Rd. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach MD-413 N. Turn left onto MD-413 N and continue for approximately 10 miles, following signs for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. When you reach the ferry terminal, you will need to take a ferry to Tangier Island. The ferry ride takes about 1 hour and costs approximately $25 round trip for adults. Once you arrive on Tangier Island, the Tangier History Museum is located at 16215 Main Ridge Rd, which is about a 5-minute walk from the ferry landing.

To reach Tangier History Museum via public transportation, start at Janes Island State Park and take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest bus station. From there, take a bus to the town of Crisfield, MD. Once in Crisfield, you will need to catch the ferry to Tangier Island. The ferry costs around $25 for a round trip and takes about 1 hour. After disembarking on Tangier Island, walk approximately 5 minutes to reach the Tangier History Museum at 16215 Main Ridge Rd.
