    From Janes Island State Park, head southwest on Janes Island Rd toward MD-413 S. Turn left onto MD-413 S and continue for about 12 miles. When you reach the town of Crisfield, follow the signs to the Crisfield ferry terminal. You will need to take a ferry to Smith Island. The ferry ride costs approximately $30 round trip for adults. The ferry schedule may vary, so it is advisable to check the current schedule at https://smithisland.org. Once you arrive at the Smith Island docks, continue to Ewell by following Caleb Jones Rd, which is about a 10-minute drive.

    To reach the Smith Island Cultural Center using public transportation, take a bus or taxi to Crisfield.
