From Laurel, walk to the nearest bus stop that services the Metrobus. Look for the 'Laurel Town Center' stop on Route 17 or 89. Board the bus and travel towards the Greenbelt Metro Station. Once at the Greenbelt station, transfer to the Green Line towards Branch Ave. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. From there, it's a short walk to Ford's Theatre. Head northeast on 7th St NW for about 0.4 miles until you reach 10th St NW, then turn left. Ford's Theatre will be on your right at 511 10th St NW.

Walk to the Laurel MARC Train Station, which is located at 2nd St & Main St. Board a train heading towards Washington, D.C. and get off at the Union Station stop. Once at Union Station, exit the station and look for signs directing you to the Metro. Take the Red Line towards Glenmont, and transfer at Gallery Place-Chinatown to the Green Line towards Branch Ave. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. From there, walk northeast on 7th St NW for about 0.4 miles until you reach 10th St NW, then turn left. Ford's Theatre will be on your right at 511 10th St NW.

If you are near the Laurel Town Center, you can walk to the nearest Metrobus stop and board a bus going to the Greenbelt Metro Station. Follow the bus instructions provided above. After transferring to the Metro, walk from Gallery Place-Chinatown to Ford's Theatre as described previously. Alternatively, if you prefer a longer walk, consider walking to the nearby MARC train station, boarding a train to Union Station, and then proceed as described above to reach your destination.
