From Laurel, head to the Laurel Town Center and take the MTA Light RailLink (Light Rail) at the Laurel station. Board a train heading toward Hunt Valley. Stay on for approximately 25 minutes and get off at the Baltimore Arena station. From there, transfer to the MTA bus route 27 towards Preakness. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Pimlico Race Course stop, which is directly in front of the venue.

If you are close to the Laurel Town Center, you can take a scenic walk to the nearby MTA Light RailLink station. Head west on Route 1 towards the intersection with Main Street. Cross over to the light rail platform and board the train going towards Hunt Valley. After your ride, follow the instructions from the previous option to transfer to the bus route 27.

For those who prefer cycling, start from the Laurel Town Center and head north on Route 1. Follow the bike lane for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Park Heights Ave. Turn left onto Park Heights Ave and continue cycling for about 2 miles until you arrive at the Pimlico Race Course. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.
