From the Laurel Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Laurel-Bowie Road and Route 1 (also known as Baltimore Avenue). Take the route 89 bus towards the Greenbelt Metro Station. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop located at the intersection of Montgomery Village Avenue and Route 355 (also known as Frederick Road). From there, transfer to the route 57 bus towards the Gaithersburg area. Get off at the stop on Hillside Lake Terrace. The Trailhead Washingtonian Woods will be just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop, following Hillside Lake Terrace.

If you're staying in central Laurel, you can walk to the Trailhead Washingtonian Woods. Start by heading northwest on Main Street towards the intersection with Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue). Cross Route 1 and continue straight onto Montgomery Street. Follow Montgomery Street until you reach Montgomery Village Avenue. Turn left onto Montgomery Village Avenue and continue until you reach Route 355. Cross Route 355 and continue onto Hillside Lake Terrace. The Trailhead will be located at 1025 Hillside Lake Terrace.

For those who prefer cycling, start from the Laurel Town Center and head north on Route 1 (Baltimore Avenue) until you reach Montgomery Village Avenue. Turn left and follow the bike lanes until you reach Route 355. At Route 355, turn left and follow the road until you reach Hillside Lake Terrace. The Trailhead Washingtonian Woods will be on your left at 1025 Hillside Lake Terrace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules!
