Bus
From Laurel, head to the nearest bus stop and take the WMATA Bus 86 towards Olney. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the next departure time. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the Olney Laytonsville Rd & Olney Mill Rd stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Winter City Lights. Head east on Olney Laytonsville Rd and keep walking until you reach 4501 Olney Laytonsville Rd, where Winter City Lights is located.
Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Laurel, you can walk to Winter City Lights. Start at the Laurel Town Center and head north on Route 1 (Baltimore Ave). Continue walking until you reach the intersection with MD-198 East. Turn right onto MD-198 East and continue walking for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto Olney Laytonsville Rd and walk for about 1.5 miles. You will find Winter City Lights at 4501 Olney Laytonsville Rd.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop. Start from central Laurel and head north towards MD-198. Take the bike lane on MD-198 East until you reach Olney Laytonsville Rd. Turn left and continue biking for about 1.5 miles until you reach your destination at 4501 Olney Laytonsville Rd.
