Car
From the main entrance at Patapsco Valley State Park, drive towards the Daniels area by following the signs for Daniels Dam. Head east on MD-99 (Frederick Road) for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Park Entrance Road, and continue straight for about 0.5 miles. You’ll see the parking area for Daniels Dam on your left. Parking is free, but be sure to check for any specific parking regulations that may apply.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus route 320 from downtown Ellicott City towards Columbia. Get off at the stop on Frederick Road (MD-99) near Patapsco Valley State Park. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Daniels Dam. Follow Frederick Road east until you reach Park Entrance Road, then turn left and walk straight for about half a mile until you reach the parking area and access point for Daniels Dam.

For biking enthusiasts, you can cycle from Ellicott City towards Daniels Dam. Follow the Patapsco Valley State Park trails that lead directly to the dam.
