    From Rockville, head to the Rockville Metro Station located at 30 Maryland Ave, Rockville, MD 20850. Take the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Ride the train for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Transfer to the Yellow Line train towards Greenbelt and ride for about 2 stops, getting off at the L'Enfant Plaza station. From there, walk south on 7th St SW for about 10 minutes, then turn right onto Independence Ave SW. Continue walking until you reach the Japanese Lantern.

  • Bus

    Start at the Rockville Metro Station, where you can catch the Ride On Bus Route 46 towards the Silver Spring Metro Station. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, take the Red Line towards Glenmont, and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Transfer to the Yellow Line train towards Greenbelt and ride for 2 stops, getting off at L'Enfant Plaza. Walk south on 7th St SW for about 10 minutes, then turn right onto Independence Ave SW to reach the Japanese Lantern.
