    From Barnstable Village, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main St. Catch the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus route 1 towards Hyannis. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the Sandwich stop. From there, transfer to the CCRTA route 5 towards Sandwich. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Ed Moffitt Dr and walk the remaining 5 minutes to the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center at 60 Ed Moffitt Dr.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Barnstable. Start your route by heading north on Main St. Follow the bike path along Route 6A towards Sandwich. The ride is approximately 8 miles and will take about 40-50 minutes. Once you reach Sandwich, continue on Route 6A until you see signs for Ed Moffitt Dr. Turn left onto Ed Moffitt Dr, and you will find the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center at 60 Ed Moffitt Dr.
