Bus
From central Barnstable, head to the Barnstable Village Bus Stop at Main Street. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) Bus Route 1 towards Hyannis. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at Hyannis Transportation Center to the Bus Route 2 towards Edgartown. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes, and get off at the Katama Road stop. From there, walk 0.5 miles south along Katama Road to reach Katama Beach.

If you are comfortable biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Barnstable. Start your journey by heading south on Main Street until you reach Route 28. Turn right onto Route 28 and continue for about 5 miles. Then, turn left onto Katama Road and bike for another 2 miles until you reach Katama Beach. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

For those who prefer walking, start from Barnstable Village. Walk towards Main Street and head east. Continue on Main Street until you reach Route 28. Cross Route 28 carefully and follow the pedestrian path along the road. After about 7 miles of walking (which will take approximately 2-3 hours), you will reach Katama Road. Turn left and walk another half mile to arrive at Katama Beach.
