Start by walking to the nearest bus stop on Main Street in Barnstable. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus route 1 towards Hyannis. Ride the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the Falmouth Bus Terminal. Once at the terminal, transfer to the Buzzards Bay Bus route 2 and continue for about 15 minutes to the Woods Hole stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Nobska Lighthouse. Head northeast on Nobska Road until you reach the lighthouse located at 233 Nobska Rd.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Barnstable. Start from the center of Barnstable and follow the Cape Cod Rail Trail towards Falmouth. This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes and is approximately 8 miles long. Once you arrive in Falmouth, follow signs to Nobska Road. It should take about 30-40 minutes to reach Nobska Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 233 Nobska Rd, which is easily accessible from the bike path.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route. Start at Barnstable Village and head southeast towards the shore. Follow the path along the coastline, which will eventually lead you to the Nobska Road. This is a longer journey of about 6 miles and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way as you approach Nobska Lighthouse at 233 Nobska Rd. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
