Ferry
To reach Boston Light, start from downtown Boston. Head to the Long Wharf, which is located near the New England Aquarium. You can take the MBTA subway (Green Line or Blue Line) to Government Center Station and walk towards the waterfront, or walk from Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at Long Wharf, look for the Boston Harbor Cruises ticket booth. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to the Boston Harbor Islands, specifically for Little Brewster Island, where Boston Light is located. The ferry ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views of the harbor during your trip.
Walking
If you’re already at the Long Wharf, simply walk to the Boston Harbor Cruises dock. The area is well-marked and you can ask any staff for directions if needed. Once you board the ferry to Little Brewster Island, relax and enjoy the ride. Upon arrival at Little Brewster Island, you will see Boston Light, the historic lighthouse, just a short walk from the ferry landing.
