Public Transit
To reach the Salem Ferry from downtown Boston, start by taking the MBTA subway (the 'T') from any station in the downtown area to North Station (Green Line or Orange Line). At North Station, transfer to the commuter rail and take the Newburyport/Rockport Line towards Rockport. Get off at the Salem station. From the Salem station, it's about a 15-minute walk. Head south on Washington Street, turn left onto Derby Street, and continue straight until you reach Blaney Street. Turn right onto Blaney Street, and the ferry terminal will be on your right.

If you are already in the vicinity of the waterfront in Boston, you can take a direct ferry from the Long Wharf to Salem. Head to Long Wharf, which is easily accessible by walking or taking the 'T' to the Aquarium station (Blue Line). Once at Long Wharf, purchase a ticket for the Salem Ferry. The ferry ride takes approximately 50 minutes and will take you directly to the Salem Ferry terminal at 10 Blaney St.
