Walking
If you are in the heart of Downtown Boston, you can easily walk to the Harborwalk. Start at the Boston City Hall located at 1 City Hall Square. Head southeast on City Hall Avenue towards Congress Street. Turn left onto Congress Street and walk until you reach the waterfront. You'll soon see signs for the Harborwalk. Follow the waterfront path along the harbor, and you will arrive at various access points along the Harborwalk.
Public Transportation (MBTA)
For those preferring public transit, you can take the MBTA subway. From Downtown, walk to the Government Center Station. Take the Green Line (C or E trains) to the Haymarket Station. Exit the station and head towards the waterfront, which is a short 10-minute walk. Follow the signs for the Harborwalk, which will lead you to the waterfront path.
Bike Rental
For a more active option, consider renting a bike. You can find Bluebikes stations throughout Downtown. Rent a bike from the nearest station and head towards the Harborwalk. Follow the bike lanes towards the waterfront, where you can easily access the Harborwalk. Make sure to return your bike at a designated Bluebikes station near your destination.
