From Boston, head to North Station or South Station, depending on your location. If you're near the North End, North Station is closer. Purchase a ticket on the MBTA commuter rail to Salem. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Salem Station, exit the station and head southeast on Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach S Washington Square, which should be on your left.
Bus
You can catch the MBTA bus #450 or #451 from various locations in Boston, including Haymarket or Government Center. Make sure to check the schedule for the next available bus to Salem. The bus ride takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive, disembark at the Salem bus terminal and walk towards Washington Street. S Washington Square will be a short walk ahead on your left.
Ferry
Take the MBTA ferry from Long Wharf in downtown Boston to Salem. Be sure to check the ferry schedule ahead of time, as it operates on limited hours. The ferry ride offers a scenic view and takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Salem ferry terminal, walk southeast along the waterfront and then turn left on Washington Street. Continue walking straight until you reach S Washington Square.
