Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Boston Common, head northeast on Tremont St toward Park St. Continue straight to stay on Tremont St, and you will soon reach the Park Street subway station. Take the Green Line (C or D branch) toward Government Center. Get off at Government Center station. Upon exiting the station, walk towards City Hall Plaza. The Samuel Adams Statue is located in front of the old State House at 206 Washington Street, which is about a 5-minute walk from the plaza. Look for the statue in the plaza area, surrounded by historical buildings.

• Subway

  From South Station, take the Red Line subway toward Alewife. Get off at Park Street station. At Park Street, transfer to the Green Line (C or D branch) toward Government Center. Once you arrive at Government Center station, exit and walk toward City Hall Plaza. The Samuel Adams Statue is located outside the old State House at 206 Washington Street, approximately a 5-minute walk from the plaza.

  If you are near Faneuil Hall, head southwest on Congress St toward Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Walk along Congress Street until you reach State Street. Turn right onto State Street and continue walking until you reach Washington Street. The Samuel Adams Statue is located at the old State House at 206 Washington Street, which is about a 10-minute walk from Faneuil Hall.

• Bus

  If you are near the Boston Public Library, take the 39 bus from Copley Station towards Forest Hills. Get off at the Government Center stop. From there, walk toward City Hall Plaza, and you will find the Samuel Adams Statue in front of the old State House at 206 Washington Street, which is about a 5-minute walk.
