Getting There

• Walking

  From the North End, head southeast on Hanover Street towards Cross Street. Continue straight on Hanover Street until you reach the intersection with Commercial Street. Turn right onto Commercial Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Atlantic Avenue. At Atlantic Avenue, turn left and continue walking until you reach the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Follow the Greenway until you reach the intersection with Charles Street. Turn right onto Charles Street and continue until you reach the entrance of the Public Garden located at 4 Charles Street. This walk is approximately 1 mile and should take around 20-25 minutes.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  From the North End, walk to the nearest bus stop at Haymarket Station. Take the MBTA Bus #92 towards the Government Center. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the Charles Street stop. From there, walk a short distance towards the Public Garden entrance at 4 Charles Street. The bus fare is $1.70, and you can pay using a CharlieCard or CharlieTicket.

• Public Transportation - Subway

  Walk from the North End to Haymarket Subway Station (a distance of about 0.5 miles). Board the Orange Line train towards Oak Grove. Travel for 2 stops and transfer at North Station to the Green Line. Take the Green Line towards Park Street. Get off at the Arlington Station. From there, it's a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the entrance of the Public Garden at 4 Charles Street. The subway fare is $2.40, payable via CharlieCard or CharlieTicket.
