Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown New Bedford, walk to the nearest bus stop on Union Street. Take the Peter Pan Bus Lines towards Providence. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Providence Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and head northeast towards Memorial Boulevard. Turn right on Memorial Boulevard, and then turn left onto South Water Street. Continue walking until you reach Luongo Square, which will be on your right.

  • Train

    Walk to the New Bedford train station located at 90 Cove Street. Board the MBTA train heading to Providence. The train ride is approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the Providence Station, exit the station and head south on Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Memorial Boulevard. Turn left on Memorial Boulevard and then turn right onto South Water Street. Luongo Square will be on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are near the waterfront area of New Bedford, you can walk to Luongo Square. Start at the New Bedford Whaling Museum and head north along the waterfront promenade. Continue onto East Beach Street, then turn left onto South Water Street. Walk straight for about 1 mile, and Luongo Square will appear on your left.
