Getting There

• Bus

  From New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop and take the GATRA bus towards Fall River. After around 30 minutes, get off at the Fall River Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to a Greyhound or Peter Pan bus heading to Providence, RI. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Providence Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards Washington Street. Continue on Washington Street until you reach Weybosset Street, then turn left. The Providence Performing Arts Center will be on your left at 220 Weybosset St.

• Train

  Make your way to the New Bedford train station located at 1000 Cove Road. Board the MBTA train to South Station in Boston. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, transfer to the Amtrak or MBTA train heading towards Providence. Arriving at the Providence train station, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop or use a rideshare service to get to 220 Weybosset St, which is about a 10-minute drive from the station.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride from your current location in New Bedford to 220 Weybosset St, Providence, RI 02903. The trip will take about 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in New Bedford. Start your ride by heading north on Acushnet Avenue. Follow Acushnet Avenue until you reach Route 195. Take the bike path along the highway towards Providence. The ride will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you enter Providence, navigate to Weybosset Street, and you will find the Providence Performing Arts Center at 220 Weybosset St.

• Walking

  While it's a long walk, you can journey from New Bedford to Providence on foot if you're up for the challenge. Start by heading north towards Acushnet Avenue, then follow the paths along the waterfront. It’s roughly a 20-mile trek, so prepare for a full day of walking. You’ll want to take breaks and enjoy the sights along the way. Once in Providence, navigate to Weybosset Street, where the Providence Performing Arts Center is located.
