To reach the Battle Rd Trail, start by locating the nearest bus stop. You can take the BAT (Brockton Area Transit). Board the bus heading towards the 'Brockton City Hall' or 'Brockton High School' routes. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the 'Brockton City Hall' stop. From there, transfer to the bus route that goes towards 'Massachusetts Ave'. After about 15 minutes of travel, disembark at the 'Massachusetts Ave & Battle Rd' stop. The Battle Rd Trail will be a short walk from there. Follow the signs directing you towards the trail entrance.
Walking
If you are already near downtown Brockton, you can walk to the Battle Rd Trail. Head north on Main Street towards the intersection with Montello Street. Turn left onto Montello Street and continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach Massachusetts Avenue. Cross Massachusetts Avenue and continue north; the entrance to the Battle Rd Trail will be on your left. It is approximately a 1-mile walk, so wear comfortable shoes.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, rent a bike from a local bike shop in downtown Brockton. Once you have your bike, head north on Main Street and take a left onto Montello Street. Follow Montello Street until you reach Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left on Massachusetts Avenue and cycle for about 1 mile. The entrance to the Battle Rd Trail will be on your left side. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.
