Getting There

  • Bus

    From Brockton, head to the Brockton MBTA Bus Terminal located at 1-15 Main Street. Take the MBTA Route 14 bus heading towards Ashmont Station. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Ashmont Station, transfer to the Red Line subway towards Braintree. Travel for about 15 minutes and get off at the Broadway Station. From Broadway Station, exit and walk approximately 15 minutes towards Castle Island, following the signs to William J Day Blvd.

  • Train and Walk

    Start from Brockton and head to the Brockton MBTA Train Station located at 2200 Montello Street. Take the MBTA Commuter Rail to South Station in Boston. The train journey will take about 45 minutes. After arriving at South Station, take the Red Line subway towards Ashmont and get off at the Andrew Station. From there, exit the station and walk approximately 20 minutes towards Castle Island, following the signs to William J Day Blvd.

  • Bike

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Brockton. Head towards the East side of the city and follow the bike paths leading east towards Boston. The ride to Castle Island will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to follow the bike lanes and signs directing you to South Boston.
