Warren Tavern: A Taste of History in Charlestown

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Gloucester, take Route 128 South. Follow the signs for I-95 South and merge onto I-93 South. Stay on I-93 South for about 20 miles. Take exit 28 toward Charlestown, and merge onto Charlestown Bridge. Continue onto Main Street and then take a right onto Pleasant Street. The Warren Tavern will be on your left at 2 Pleasant Street.

• Car

  From Rockport, head south on Route 127 until you reach Route 128. Merge onto Route 128 South and then follow the same route as above through I-95 South and I-93 South to Charlestown. Take exit 28, merge onto Main Street, and turn right onto Pleasant Street to reach Warren Tavern.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, start by taking the MBTA Commuter Rail from Gloucester Station to North Station in Boston. From North Station, transfer to the Orange Line subway and take it towards Forest Hills. Get off at the Haymarket Station and transfer to the 93 bus towards Sullivan Square. Get off at the Pleasant Street stop; the Warren Tavern will be a short walk from there at 2 Pleasant Street.

• Public Transportation

  From Rockport, take the MBTA Commuter Rail from Rockport Station to North Station in Boston. Then, follow the same subway and bus instructions as mentioned above to reach the Warren Tavern.
