Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start on Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway) and take exit 6 for Route 132 toward Hyannis. Continue on Route 132 until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St. The Walkway to the Sea is located at the end of Main St, near the Hyannis Harbor. There is street parking available, but it can fill up quickly during peak tourist season, so plan accordingly.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus service. The Route 1 bus operates from various locations across Cape Cod and will take you to the Hyannis transportation center. From the transportation center, it’s a 10-minute walk to the Walkway to the Sea. Head south on Main St, and follow the road until you reach the waterfront. Please check the CCRTA website for the latest bus schedules and fares, which typically cost around $2.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, there are bike paths throughout Hyannis. You can rent a bicycle from local shops. Follow the bike paths leading to Main St. Once you reach Main St, continue south until you arrive at the Walkway to the Sea. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic views along the way.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby or prefer to walk, you can easily reach the Walkway to the Sea on foot from various locations in Hyannis. Simply navigate towards Main St and head south until you reach the waterfront area. From the Hyannis Main Street area, it’s approximately a 15-20 minute walk.
