If you are traveling by car, take Route 6 towards Provincetown. As you approach the town, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Shank Painter Road. Turn left onto Shank Painter Road and follow it until it ends. At the end of the road, turn right onto Route 6A. Continue on Route 6A until you reach the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto Commercial Street, then continue straight until you see High Pole Hill Road on your left. Turn onto High Pole Hill Road, and the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum will be on your left at 1 High Pole Hill Rd, Provincetown, MA 02657. Parking is available near the monument, but there may be a fee depending on the season.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus service, which connects various towns in Cape Cod to Provincetown. You can catch the bus from most major towns, including Hyannis or Wellfleet. The bus will take you to the center of Provincetown. Once you arrive at the Provincetown Bus Terminal, head southeast on Commercial Street. Walk along Commercial Street until you reach High Pole Hill Road, which will be on your right. Follow High Pole Hill Road until you see the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum at 1 High Pole Hill Rd. Be aware that the bus service operates on a schedule, and it’s advisable to check the latest timetable online.
