• Car

  If you are driving to Race Point Lighthouse, start by taking Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway) towards Provincetown. Continue on Route 6 until you see signs for Provincetown. Once you reach Provincetown, follow the signs to Race Point Beach. At the beach parking lot, you will need to park your car. There is a parking fee that varies depending on the season—expect to pay around $20 for a day pass. After parking, follow the marked walking trail toward the lighthouse, which is approximately a 1-mile walk along a sandy path.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Race Point Lighthouse using public transportation, take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus service to Provincetown. The bus departs from various locations on Cape Cod, including Hyannis and Wellfleet. Once you arrive in Provincetown, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Race Point Beach, as public transport does not go directly to the beach. Expect to pay around $10-15 for a taxi ride. Once at Race Point Beach, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to the lighthouse along the designated trail.

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Provincetown. From downtown Provincetown, bike along Commercial Street, which will lead you to Race Point Beach. The ride is approximately 3 miles and will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you reach the beach, you will need to park your bicycle in the designated area and walk about 1 mile to Race Point Lighthouse along the sandy trail.
